Recently at work, our team each received a
free sample of the new Ziploc VersaGlass container. I was instantly smitten. These are solid, made-in-Italy tempered glass containers that
are beautiful AND functional.
I promptly took mine home, washed it, and
stored my Parmigianino cheese in it!
Let’s talk about the “functional” piece a little
more. Because they are tempered
glass, they can go from the freezer to the oven and are safe up to 400 degrees (without lid). They are also
microwave-safe, freezer-safe, and dishwasher-safe.
Not bad, eh?
Have you seen these items at Walmart
yet? They are merchandised with
the Ziploc and Rubbermaid plastic containers close to all the Home Goods. My store only had two sizes available…
hopefully your store has all six sizes! Variety packs are also available on Walmart.com.
I would love for
you to try them, too.
Prize:
2 crazy-lucky winners will receive a variety-pack of 5
(yes, 5!) Ziploc VersaGlass containers!
1. Small Rectangle (blue)
2. Small Round (orange)
3. Medium Square (green)

Eat
well, my friends. Eat well.
Full
disclosure: I work for the company
that makes Ziploc VersaGlass containers.
I would never recommend a product that I don’t believe in. Because I am sooooooo in love with
these glass containers, I feel very blest that I was able to approach my
co-worker who sells this product so that you, too, could try them out for
yourselves. Except for my one free
sample, I have to buy them just like everyone else.
I want to win these because none of the containers I currently have have matching lids :( And I love the idea of being able to throw this baby in the oven!!!
ReplyDeleteZiploc fanatic! I haven't tried the Versa yet, so would love to! Jon...
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I am TWEETING and FACEBOOKING this giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteI have recently fallen in love with the idea of baking once for a week of meals. How convenient to take a serving of casserole, lasagna, or soup straight from the freezer to the oven with no dish transfer!!! This would also be great for husbands who are left at home - just pop this in the oven or microwave and viola! Foolproof!
I want to win!! Oooo.... pick ME!
ReplyDelete@Djazzo
I would LOVE to win these because glass (in my opinion) is always better then plastic when it comes to cooking! AND HUBBY agrees, so these will be great for him as well !! Also, NO kitchen ever has enough storage containers, especially with 3 kids :) Rachelle McGowen
ReplyDeleteI just shared this on Facebook Ms. Lyndi !! Thanks for all the great info you provide for us! So nice to have all the "leg work" done for us :) Rachelle McGowen
ReplyDeletelavidafranco.blogspot.com and my facebook love this!!! Fantabulous!!!
ReplyDelete<3,
Rochelle
I like to use glass over plastic due to chemicals leaching into my food with plastic. Most of the good quality containers are expensive...bet these are affordable!
ReplyDeleteI also re-tweeted your tweet about the giveaway:)
I have been waiting for our walmart to get other sizes. We prefer glass over plastic because it doesn't release chemicals into the food when microwaved.
ReplyDeleteThey look great, and would be wonderful for heating things like lasagna straight from the freezer, as it won't get "wobbly" like plastic. They also won't discolour with use.

ReplyDeleteI think glass is such a smart thing to save in and the fact that you can wash and reuse and they will last and it is better for you health than the plastics. Also, I am forever not having the right lid for my plastics and this is a pet peave of my husband when he helps me put up the leftovers etc. These are really nice looking containers!!
ReplyDeleteWell, sense reading "slow Death by rubber Duckies" I've become wary of plastic containers. Thus, I'm phasing out plastic and bringing in glass containers.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try these! Glass is better than plastic when trying to microwave food.
ReplyDeleteThese would be great to use for pasta sauce since the glass won't easily stain.
ReplyDeleteTweeted and FB Lyndi! I hope I win. EatOutNWA
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I prefer glass to plastic. Most importantly, I'm obsessed with containers. If I could love in a container store I would be happy (but it wouldn't last long because I'm sure I'd be carted off to see a psychiatrist immediately). Glass + containers = true love.
ReplyDeleteI like to take my lunch everyday plus since we are only two we always have leftovers!
ReplyDeleteI facebooked this!
ReplyDeleteGuess what!!!!! I even tweeted this!
ReplyDeleteWoweeee! Safe up to 400°??? These sound great! I am the only "chef" in the house.....and there are only two of us! haha. So having reusable containers that can withstand so many conditions would really help me out! My boyfriend and I have crazy hours, as most do who work in the food service industry....so having versatile containers to work with would definitely help us with our food "crises"! haha. These containers sound awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win because, even with all the great products Ziploc and Rubbermaid and Glad have come up with, they still get orangey stains from tomato sauce and/or white spots from the heat of the microwave or dishwasher. Glass is just superior.
ReplyDelete@jdilday
Just talking to my hubby this am about how we have no good tupperware or storage like that...hope i win!!
ReplyDeleteajb530@yahoo.com
Would love to win these. All our tupperware is outdated, mismatched or stained. Thanks. - @peggyskid
ReplyDeleteTweeted and FB shared. Really could use them. Our old containers are mismatched and stained. Yikes! - @peggyskid
ReplyDeleteLiterally, not even five minutes ago, I was running around the kitchen trying to find a lidded bowl to put the extra hummus in...to no avail? Where have all my bowls gone? I need these :)
ReplyDeleteFacebook Shared...although I don't think my tag worked?? Shared a link to the blog post!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win these because I have all sorts of mismatched, cheap plastic containers right now (some of which probably aren't even microwave safe, but which I use in there anyway...), so this would be a big improvement to my food storage.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the giveaway!
